One of the perks about reviewing DVDs is discovering treasures without having to risk my own money. Among the piles of drek that I might request, there might be something that is gold, something that sticks in my mind long after I review the movie.
I reviewed a Tartan DVD last year called 11:59. The movie had it’s moments but was entirely forgettable. One thing I noticed about it was it was made by a very talented filmmaker.
Included on the DVD was a short film by that directer (Jamin Winans) called Spin. One thing that surprised me was one of the actors I HATED in 11:59, I absolutely loved in the short film. I think this short film is just about perfect.
