One of the more unique casts in recent memory, for a theatrical film at least, is coming together for the adaptation of a story from Clive Barker’s Books of Blood, entitled The Midnight Meat Train. The film is the story of a subway killer who in turn gets stalked by a down-on-his-luck photographer looking to change his fortune. Bradley Cooper will star as the photographer stalking Vinnie Jones’ Subway Butcher. They’ll be joined by Brooke Shields as an art gallery owner and Leslie Bibb as Cooper’s girlfriend.

I guess there’s no way this cast would be together for anything other than a low-budget horror movie, but that’s too bad. Well, not really, but I’m in a charitable mood today. Like the vast majority of low-budget theatrical horror in America, this one is courtesy of Lionsgate. Shooting starts in Los Angeles in about a week, but there’s no word yet on a release date.
