Touche De Palma and co., that’s one way of grabbing some coverage. This imminent kiss between a mean girl and a girl with a dragon tattoo is our first look at Passion, the latest from director Brian De Palma. Jumping back in the sexually-charged playground of manipulative drama in which he often flourishes, the story suggests that the kiss above is no fleeting, teasing moment. This thing sounds damn near softcore.

This Rachel McAdams/Noomi Rapace film also stars Dominic Cooper, is a remake of a french thriller Love Crime, and will be De Palma’s first since Redacted in ’07. It’s just now getting started with its shoot for a 2013 release, so we’ll be keeping our eyes on it (and our hands on the table.)
