http://chud.com/nextraimages/eckhart1118.jpgHere’s the new entertainment journalist sport – trick an actor into revealing more about an upcoming movie than they should. It’s called Dunsting, and Aaron Eckhart hath been Dunsted, at least a little. MTV News caught up with Eckhart at the Independent Spirit Awards (this year’s motto: “Throwing Away All Our Credibility With a Bunch of Little Miss Sunshine Wins”), and quizzed him mercilessly about his role in The Dark Knight.

They asked him if he would be playing just Harvey Dent in the film, and this is what happened: "Yeah," Eckhart said, before reconsidering after a brief pause, "Well, I’m Harvey Dent … then I go into Harvey Two-Face."

This lines up with something sources told me about the original scriptment for The Dark Knight – that Dent gets Two-Faced either at the end of the second act or the beginning of the third act of the film. A lot may have changed from that original scriptment, but Eckhart’s answer seems to confirm the information I previously received. Let’s see if my source is really correct and Dent takes a face full of acid while trying to protect Rachel Dawes.

Eckhart had more to tell MTV, so click here to read more on his thoughts about playing Batman’s most gruesome villain.
