Not that I am trying to rub it in or anything, but I’ve now seen Hot Fuzz twice, and as expected, it got better on the second viewing. It’s like Shaun of the Dead in that it’s structured with a ton of depth, giving it plenty of rewatchability. And I intend to rewatch it yet again in a week or two.
If you’re in the UK you can begin your obsession with Hot Fuzz in theaters on February 16th, just a little too late to bring your ladyfriend. Americans are forced to wait even longer, until April 13th… when it opens in limited release. This means if the movie is playing near you, you MUST go out and see it. Your support will make it possible for your fellow Chewers in more bumblefuck parts of the country to finally see it later in the month. Your support is what’s going to make this movie the success it deserves to be, and since it’s got a much more mainstream subject than Shaun – it’s an action movie! – it has a chance at crossover.
