I love how these litle production videos have taken on a little style and vibe all their own, now that we’re a half-dozen deep. This one in particular fully embraces the jazzy, slightly-cheesy, always fun energy of the previous videos as it tackles the back half of the Hobbit location shoot, which involves the most intense mobile ramps every put together, Hobbits in barrels, and lots of helicopters. Also, you know it’s a huge production when the scaffolding walkways they build are holyshit impressive.
Per usual the video is charmingly narrated by Pete Jackson, and is a wonderful treat to keep your expectations high, but your appetite sated. The music is pretty ostentatiously jazzy in this episode, though at one point it dips into a pretty shameless cover of a Social Network cue.
