http://chud.com/nextraimages/dannygloversaw.jpgDanny Glover was at the Dreamgirls press junket in New York City a couple of weeks back, and I couldn’t resist asking him about his place in one of the most successful horror franchises of all time, Saw. It turns out that Danny was feeling a little candid that day…

Are you surprised at how huge the Saw films have become?

[laughs] If you guys knew the whole story behind it…

Let’s hear the whole story behind it!

You don’t want to hear the whole story. We’re here to celebrate! All I can say is that these guys were my managers when they asked me to do a favor… they’re no longer my managers. All you need to know!

Look here – I didn’t have any idea. Here’s what happened: I got with these guys, these managers, and they bring me in and say they want me to look at this tape, it’s about seven to ten minutes. I’ll give you part of the story. So I’m looking at the tape, then they bring in the guy – a young 22 year old guy – and I say, ‘Man, this is interesting. This is fascinating.’ I asked my manager how much it was going to cost. He said about a million dollars. I said, ‘You guys got room for a hundred thousand dollars in it?’ [laughs]
