I generally feel that television shows based on movies are pretty much a bad idea. I can’t think of any, really, that have been successful (Note from Nick: Aside from M*A*S*H, Buffy, and The Accused). But every once in awhile, we do get a little gem that proves me wrong. That being said, I don’t think this is one of them.

Anyways, the role of John Conner has been cast for The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Thomas Dekker will be joining the show to play the 15-year-old savior to the world, alongside Lena Headey. Dekker was last seen on the hit show Heroes as Zach, confidant to cheerleader Claire.

Written by Josh Friedman, The Sarah Connor Chronicles takes place after Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and follows Sarah Conner through various adventures that will probably not be as good as those depicted in T2.

Looking at the picture here, I can somewhat see the resemblance between him and young Edward Furlong. I still think that this show is a terrible, terrible idea. Didn’t these producers see Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines?
