http://chud.com/nextraimages/nov12fountain.jpgAre you creative? You are going to have to be in
order to enter Warner Brothers’ newest contest for Darren Aronofsky’s
epic, The Fountain (Devin’s review).

Much like the folks behind Slither did a few months back, Warner
Bros. wants you to create a "musical mash-up" to help promote their
film. From what I gathered from the official site, you’re basically making a
music video using the provided materials: original tracks from Clint Mansell’s
soundtrack, various clips from the film, and what ever else you may deem
appropriate for said "mash-up." The top three mash-ups
will be included as a free download on the official movie site, along side
mash-ups from Clint Mansell himself.

Once
finished, you can upload your masterpiece to their site, where it can be
viewed, rated, and ridiculed by others. God, I love the Internet.

The Fountain, starring Hugh Jackman
and Rachel Weisz, is an odyssey about one man’s eternal struggle to save the
woman he loves. His epic journey begins in 16th-century Spain, where conquistador
Tomas commences his search for the Fountain of Youth, the legendary entity
believed to grant immortality. As modern-day scientist Tommy Creo, he
desperately struggles to find a cure for the cancer that is killing his beloved
wife, Isabel. Traveling through deep space as a 26th-century astronaut, Tom
begins to grasp the mysteries that have consumed him for a millennium. The
three stories converge into one truth, as the Thomas of all periods – warrior,
scientist, and explorer comes to terms with life, love, death and rebirth.
