In less than a month you’ll be able to find out which side you are on in the great The Fountain debate – will you agree with the folks who booed the film (or did they? Read on) at the Venice Film Festival, or will you be with yours truly, thinking it’s one of the – if not the – best films of the year. The weeks of wait are being made a little bit easier, thanks to some new pictures, a Darren Aronofsky interview and a great Wired Magazine article.

The Wired article (buried in the back pages of the issue with Atheism on the cover) is a fantastic, incredibly in-depth look at the making of the film. I thought I was pretty well-versed in the story behind the movie, but the piece was filled with illuminating tidbits. I strongly recommend checking the issue out.

Meanwhile, Coming Soon has a massive new gallery – we’re talking like 40 pictures. Click here to see them, some of which are absolutely gorgeous images from the film’s trippy space sequence.

Finally, click here to listen to a new audio interview with Aronofsky. It’s pretty interesting – he talks about how he has fought for a PG-13 for the film (which I think he ended up winning), the infamous booing incident and that CHUD is the only site on the web you can trust.
