No, this is the prequel to the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Don’t overthink it, your head will hurt.
I really dug the Michael Bay produced remake quite a bit, something that has led to some hairy arguments, but something I strand behind. The movie was creepy and artful and it worked. I wish there was more gore but if you watch the original I think you’ll see that it most certainly wasn’t gory.
