http://chud.com/nextraimages/ladywaterpostsm.jpgI’m about to announce a New York City screening of a very impressive foreign film, and I’ve just run the piece on The Warriors playing at Coney Island, so I decided to go for the New York City-centric trifecta by alerting you to the Lady in the Water premiere tonight. There are a lot of premieres in New York City, but this one is particularly cool because it’s happening at the Museum of Natural History, aka the place where Holden Caulfield saw so many ‘fucks.’

The stars are going to be out in force – confirmed, according to the Warner Bros tip sheet, are: “M. Night Shyamalan, Paul Giamatti, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bob Balaban, Freddy Rodriguez, Jeffrey Wright, Bill Irwin, Cindy Cheung and Sarita Choudhury. Other celebrity guests include Wilmer Valderamma, Oksana Baiul and many more” Might some of Bryce Dallas Howard’s Spider-friends be among the “many more?” Only one way to find out.

The celebrities show up at 6pm, so you can run over after work and check it out. For those of you who are heathens and don’t know where the world’s greatest museum is located, it’s at 79th Street and Central Park West. And they’ll be showing the movie at 7 – I’ve seen them scoop up folks from the crowd to fill seats. Hell, maybe you can drop names to get in – tell them you know Wilson Morales from blackfilm.com or Kellvin Chavez from Latino Review! I have already contacted Warner Bros and told them to arrest anyone who tries to use my name to get in.
