casHenry Rollins will be bringing his barely pent-up ferocity to Wrong Turn 2, a film that isn’t a sequel to the more-fun-than-it-should-have been horror movie but rather a prequel.

Joe Lynch is directing – the name may not mean much to you, since he’s new to the game, but I have it on pretty good authority that not only is the guy a budding talent, he’s also got his heart in the right place – ripped out of his chest and bleeding and beating on the desk. He’s a fan of the genre, so we can hope for good stuff from him.

Wrong Turn 2, which tells the origin of the freaks from the first one, shoots in Vancouver this summer. I hear it’s being aimed at a DTV release, but that could always change.
