Unless it’s about the character from Zelda or a chain, Disney’s newly announced The Missing Link is probably going to hit at a sensitive time in America. By which I mean the New Dark Ages, where people actually have to go to court to get God thrown out of biology class.
There’s no word on the actual plot yet, but it’s a live action family film written by the guys behind Chicken Little – screenwriters Ron Friedman and Steve Bencich. Disney is keeping the plot under wraps, but I think they’re better off spilling the beans, at least if the story is in no way evolution related. I imagine that Jerry Falwell has some drone intern combing the trades looking for the next big opportunity to get mad at the godless Hollywood types, so this is probably already on his radar.
