A few cool bits of news for some southern states that are, in limited places, often great.

First up…

The Walking Dead needs extras!

It’s about time for the incredibly popular series to start rolling in and around Atlanta again, and any unnaturally slim-figured Atlantans that want to be a part of the show can start sending in their info now.

Email TWDextras@gmail.com along with a face photo and a full-body photo to have a chance. They’re looking for men and women in a wide range of ages. The actual notice (nabbed from beforethetrailer.com)…

Extra Casting Atlanta is starting casting for some featured zombie types — looking for men and women 18 – 60 — VERY slim builds ONLY some acting or movement experience is great – They will be posting for other roles soon but for now only very slim types and slim facial features for very specific roles, must be available to work on southside of Atlanta — email clear recent face shot and body shot to: twdextras@gmail.com

CHUD was rather hard on the show in its first season (and the get-over-it‘s continue if you can’t tolerate criticism and still enjoy what you enjoy), but that doesn’t mean we don’t like seeing some familiar faces moaning about. Lets get some more chewers (or at least chewer pieces) on the show this season!

Alamo Rolling Road Show canvasses Texas

The Alamo Rolling Road Show has always been an amazing way of seeing a movie- what’s better than watching a great projection set up at a real-life location from the film? Nothing, that’s what. Now they’re doing it again with ten flicks playing across different locations in Texas, and it’s quite a line-up…

June 3 – THE SEARCHERS in Groesbeck, Texas

June 4 – THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE in Kingsland, Texas

June 5 – BLOOD SIMPLE in Austin, Texas

June 11 – HUD in Claude, Texas

June 17 – RED RIVER in Forth Worth, Texas

June 18 – BONNIE AND CLYDE in Pilot Point, Texas

June 19 – TENDER MERCIES in Waxahachie, Texas

June 24 – NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN in Marfa, Texas

June 25 – GIANT in Marfa, Texas

July 1 – THE LAST PICTURE SHOW in Archer City, Texas

Holy sheeit (ya’ll). And even better is that this guarantees another beautiful set of themed Mondo posters for these films that no one will be able to buy! If they’re anything as good as Olly Moss’s poster for last year though…Check out the website for more information.

I’d love to make it out there for a screening or two, but finding time away and making flights happen is always a tall set or orders. You Texan chewers have no excuse not to meet up and make these screenings great though. Send us some pictures!
