Honestly, I am really only writing about this because I have had the title rattling around in my head for a little while, and I needed to get it out there.
Reese Witherspoon, whose head is shaped exactly like that of a grey alien, is developing a movie at Paramount called The Reckoning. The film, written by Ted “Silence of the Lambs” Tally, is about an American photojournalist who travels to Vietnam to take pictures of the recovery of the remains of an American pilot shot down back when Jim Morrison was alive. Too bad The Bone Collector is already taken as a title.
Witherspoon is, as actors usually do, developing the film with an eye towards starring in it, possibly as the withered remains. Her reps would not deny or confirm that the script is being rewritten to include her Legally Blonde character, who will have moved on to international law and is observing the proceedings for the UN.
