April 13

Media: A portion of a Braves loss. Gee whiz, the team needs to step up.

Music: No.

Comedy: Listened to the phenomenal John Cleese director’s cut podcast interview from Stand-Up Sit-Down. So good.

Food/Drink/Inhalents: No booze. A little hookah smoke. A burger with the little man. A BLT at the club. Some horrible store bought microwave pasta, because I hate myself. Coffee from Barnes & Noble.

Family: I had Rocco from wake-up until around 5:30. Sofia from 2:30 on. That little man was awesome, but a handful. Very long day. But I made it.

Friends: The ball team. Johnny Mak came over for a short while.

Work: Drama. Extra headaches. I’m truly losing my desire to keep the balls in the air, it’s certainly not doing me any good. If there’s help on the way it’d better come soon. This is not a threat or the ravings of a frazzled man. It’s just time for someone else to share some of the load.

Art: Nope.

Goodies: Gathered materials for “the new deck” location. A place where there’s less wind to contend with, and one less susceptible to weather hatred.

Screenwriting: No.

Projects: No, though the night before I had a talk with a collaborator whose career path is twisting and it’ll affect me. Not sure if it’s good or bad.

Minutia: A guy on the other team broke his femur on the way to home plate. It sounded like a gunshot. His pain was palpable. Took them (fire department, useless… EMT less useless) 40 minutes to remove him from the facility.

Activity: Good day on the ballfield. 6-7 with 5 singles, 1 double, and a whole bunch of runs scored. Played alright in the field though I was slow to react to a ball hit to my right, which pisses me off.

Ailments: After every ballgame, my right foot is a bag of smashes. I have no idea what to do.

Shrink’s Chair: Considering I’m in demolition mode, I feel pretty good.

Asshole(s) of the Day: A nameless person who operates out of paranoia and fear rather than the team spirit.

True Trivia: I loathe public displays of affection.

What Did I Learn Today: Recreational softball is just that. It ain’t worth having the rest of your life ruined.

Link of the Day: KNB. The baddest assed FX people in the world.

Looking ahead to tomorrow: Work. Ball game. Garage cleaning. Sadness.
