Josh’s review of Your Highness: Josh and I feel similar about the movie. It’s good but not great. Very uneven and the decision to push the “stoner comedy” angle of it was a big mistake. Granted, it’s not the nightmare that The Hollywood Reporter called it and of the weekend’s comedies I’d have to expect it’ll feel more rewarding to support an original R-rated comedy rather than a PG-13 remake. I’m thinking this movie is going to be manna from heaven for the 13-17 year old crowd.

Alex’s review of Hanna: This is almost a great movie. It’s very good, but it’s not great. It could have been, were some extra polish given to the script and the decision made to give the film just a tiny bit more edge. An R rating would have meant a lot. As it stands, this is crackerjack filmmaking with a great leading performance and inspired use of the odd but fresh Chemical Brothers music. Fans of film and strong action will eat this up.

Renn’s review of Arthur: I loathe Russell Brand but I must admit that I watched about five minutes of the film while waiting for another screening and felt that tonally it seemed like a good pairing of talent and material. I loved the original as a kid but have had no impetus to revisit it since having seen it in the theater on its first run (I. Am. Old.). I’m sure it’s harmless, which is as good a complement I can give a Russell Brand vehicle.
