Showtime’s groundbreaking show Queer as Folk is coming to an end with season 5, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late for you to get in on the critically acclaimed hit. The show was groundbreaking for its portrayal of gay characters (and not its portrayal of the folk music scene. You can imagine how shocked Pete Seeger was when he tuned in. I am unclear if he was titillated). As the people in charge of this country become more and more homophobic, it’s important that the culture continues to become more accepting.
