February 16

Media: The Sopranos, Season One. Episodes 3 & 4. I have fallen asleep watching these the past three nights.

Music: Medeski, Martin, and Wood on shuffle.

Comedy: Das ist Nil!

Food/Drink: Made yum yums for breakfast for the gang. We then had a delightful lunch/dinner at this Southern restaurant in Seaside. I had a roast on a bed of gouda grits that was a delight. I even enjoyed the crisped sweet potatoes (which I typically hate). After enjoying the band at Red Bar last night, I ordered their awesome blackened grouper. Drinks took the shape of rum and Old Fashioneds.

Family: Mom had one of best days I’ve seen her have. Rocking out, swimming, watching a sunset… all without having access to many cigarettes. I wonder if there’s a connection there…

Friends: Renn and Andrea and Andrew had what appears to be a delightful time.

Work: Conference calls, GUY.com progress, and my daily CHUD stuff.

Art: Nope.

Goodies: Nope.

Screenwriting: Nope.

Projects: Nope.

Minutia: I wish I could live here.

Activity: Swimming. Frisbee on the beach. Fun and games around the pool. Lots of walking. A hike through the national park, including the beach at sunset. Phenomenal. Here’s Renn and Andrea taking photos of the sun as it began to set at the beach.

Shrink’s Chair: I got nothing.

Asshole(s) of the Day: Not many, but that Bohemian white dude with with the horrible matted dreadlocks looked a little too old to be riding that vibe, what with his son trying to grow up with a sense of reality.

True Trivia: My dad liked that old ‘Sofa King’ joke, which is a play on ‘So fucking’. So much so that his gravestone says ‘Sofa King’. Probably the only one in the cemetery with a fuck joke on it.

Link of the Day: In 2007 I decided to do a daily blog. It lasted two days.

Looking ahead to tomorrow: The family arrives. My kids are going to be thrilled!
