January 7

Media: Mad Men, 3 episodes.

Music: Mixed a new song (‘Immigration!’) from Laker III.

Comedy: Just the usual hilarity that pipes out of HQ on a given day. And I think I went all out on my latest DVD War.

Food: I went lo-fi today with yogurt, granola for the first two meals before having another dose of ziti.

Family: Was working from 7am-11pm, which gets in the way. Was nice to see Mom at work.

Work: Nonstop. And a lot of great folks were there with me busting it too.

Art: Not BY ME, but wait until you see what I’m unleashing on CHUD next week. Think stuff you’ll want on your wall.

Screenwriting: Nada.

Minutia: I am disappointed and surprised at the lack of Talkbacks now that trolls are gone. I’m not sure if folks realize that they can comment seamlessly and easily with their regular login now. It’ll take time, but the MB, chat room, and talkbacks are a beautiful haven now and I want folks to be able to bounce around without fear of stupidity (other than our orchestrated stupidity) interfering.

Activity: Typing. Lots of it.

Shrink’s Chair: I need to win the lottery. The past few years have taken their toll on my ability to put anything away for the future and the movie business is a cruel mistress. True Fact: I still haven’t been reimbursed for Comic Con. All of that makes me appreciate this place that much more. The shit I hear about the films and projects I work on away from CHUD, the dumb choices, procrastinating, and thorough fear that permeates so many decisions… it’s a miracle someone hasn’t just crashed that party in a big way. It’s not sour grapes. It’s just that your perspective changes when you see it up close (and in my case often, from afar).
