Tomorrow between 11am and 2pm, the 1st Annual Fans of Film Music event will be held at Dark Delicacies in Burbank, CA. This is an event that has been primarily planned by one, Peter Hackman and is a closed event.
The idea for this event came from past events sponsored by Film Score Monthly (FSM), a record label that specializes in the release of out of print score music or unreleased score music. There wasn’t going to be a FSM event this year and so Peter took it upon himself to plan a new annual get together.
There will be several composers present at the event, such as: John Debney, John Ottman and Tyler Bates. The record labels, FSM and La-La Land Records, will also be in attendance.
This is truly the beginning of what could be a great event, that will not only bring more attention to film score music, but unite the listeners as a whole.
I will post some pictures of the event, most likely on Sunday as I will be driving all day Saturday.
