The trailer for Tom Shadyac’s life-affirming documentary I Am didn’t seem to have the intended impact on audiences when it hit last week, but perhaps people were too harsh on it. It was made with good intentions, so that’s got to count for something, right? We all need something uplifting in our lives, to point out the necessity to have a positive outlook on our short time on this planet- don’t we? And plus, that tagline wasn’t really that bad, was it?

Eh, fuck it. It really is a shitty tagline. One of the worst. They’re using it in this final poster, too.

I’m also not sure how many people will be able to believe that the director of Ace Ventura has figured out all of the world’s problems, but maybe that’s just me.

I Am hits theaters in February.
