Coming Soon has the new trailer for the James Cameron-executive produced, 3D cave diving thriller, Sanctum.  Not surprised that Cameron would oversee this as I’m sure once he got word that he’d get to soak another cast and crew, he probably jumped at the chance.  The guy’s spent enough time underwater that I’m fairly certain he’s got his own set of Costnergills.  The synopsis from Universal Pictures (via IMDB):

The 3-D action-thriller Sanctum follows a team of underwater cave divers on a treacherous expedition to the largest, most beautiful and least accessible cave system on Earth. When a tropical storm forces them deep into the caverns, they must fight raging water, deadly terrain and creeping panic as they search for an unknown escape route to the sea. Master diver Frank McGuire has explored the South Pacific’s Esa-ala Caves for months. But when his exit is cut off in a flash flood, Frank’s team-including 17-year-old son Josh and financier Carl Hurley are forced to radically alter plans. With dwindling supplies, the crew must navigate an underwater labyrinth to make it out. Soon, they are confronted with the unavoidable question: Can they survive, or will they be trapped forever?

The film is directed by Alister Grierson (Kokoda), written by John Garvin and Andrew Wight, who is a producer of several marine-themed documentaries, including Cameron’s Ghosts of the Abyss and Aliens of the Deep.  It stars Richard Roxburgh, Ioan Gruffudd, Alice Parkinson, Rhys Wakefield, Dan Wyllie, Christopher Baker, Allison Cratchley, John Garvin and Sean Dennehy.  Coming Soon also has some pictures of the film here and the trailer in HD can be found here.
