Young newcomer, Landry Bender, will be joining Jonah Hill for The Sitter, to be directed by David Gordon Green.  Bender will play Blithe, the youngest of a trio
of troublemaking kids
in the comedy.  Jonah Hill stars as a suspended college
student in for a crazy night when he is forced to babysit the kids
who live next door to his single mother.
  It’s the first role for the youngster, who has previously worked at the Desert Stages Theatre in Arizona.  Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka scripted the film, which is planned for a July 15, 2011 release.

Guy Pearce, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Seymour Cassel, Cloris
Leachman and Virginie Ledoyen have all joined the cast of Mis-Fits.  The film tells the story of a “necro-detective” who goes in
search of people’s lost, dead relatives.  “It’s a wacky comedy in the tone of ‘Harold and Maude,'” said
[producer Doug] Claybourne (
The Fast and the Furious).  Author-playwright Napier wrote and is directing.

Leslie Mann has joined the cast of the Jason Bateman / Ryan Reynolds comedy, The Change-Up.  Olivia Wilde also stars in the film, which tells the  story of a married guy who accidentally changes
bodies with his single best friend and ends up pursuing a female
coworker. Jon Lucas and Scott Moore (
The Hangover) wrote the
screenplay.
  David Dobkin (The Wedding Crashers) is directing, Neal Moritz is producing.  Plan is for an August 2011 release.

Emmanuelle Chriqui (Entourage) will have a guest starring role on Showtime’s upcoming period drama, The Borgias.  She will appear in three episodes as Sancia, a
beautiful and seductive Neapolitan princess. She reluctantly weds
the pope’s youngest son Joffre, while keeping her eye on another
brother.
  Jeremy Irons, Joanne Whalley, Francois
Arnaud, David Oakes, Aidan Alexander and Holliday Grainger

star in the show, which premieres Spring 2011 and follows the infamous family during their rule.

Jorge Garcia will be guest starring on the Matthew Perry midseason comedy, Mr. Sunshine.  Garcia will play a staffer at the second-rate San Diego sports arena that Perry’s
character manages. He’ll appear in the pilot, which is undergoing some
retooling.

Lyle Lovett will guest star on an upcoming episode of ABC’s Castle.  Lovett will play Agent Darryl Shafer, a shadowy government figure who detains and
interrogates Castle (Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) as they
investigate the death of a prominent astrophysicist whose body was
found in her car—a victim of explosive decompression. 
Lovett will appear in the ninth episode of the season.
