It’s always a pleasant surprise to see a gritty Western hit theaters, and this new film Red Hill certainly fits the bill.

Ryan Kwanten as a cop that relocates to a small
town with his pregnant wife to start a family. On his very first day he ends up tangling with an escaped murderer who’s serving life in jail, and has to take the law into his own hands (along with a gun or two) and take care of things like a man. The entire film
takes place over a single day and night.
Red Hill‘s the first feature by Australian director Patrick Hughes and while that poster isn’t doing the film any favors the trailer certainly looks promising. Check it out over on Apple Trailers.
The film will play multiple festivals (of the Chicago International, Mill Valley, Philadelphia, and Fantastic variety) before it hits theaters on November 5th.
