Quick update: The online page for The Social Network has freshened up a bit with some new photos, and a moody bit of (presumably) Reznor-generated ambience. Simple as the update is, the dark tones playing over an exploration of the photos included in the galleries actually makes for a surprisingly edgy experience, and gives you a hint how grim Fincher may be taking this story. The sinister droning really brings out a darkness in these images and locations.

Among the photo galleries, I like the more candid, Facebook appropriate snapshots that are occasionally found within (as well as anything capturing Brenda Song), but for the most part it’s populated with typical production stills.

Hop over for a moment, soak in the new track, check out the trailer again, and peruse the galleries before deciding quite firmly that September can fuck right off.
