Sylvester Stallone, director of the successful The Expendables, made his debut on Twitter this weekend, and right away starting letting loose thoughts and calls for ideas, resulting in some interesting back and forth. I’ve compiled some of them for you here…

TheSlyStallone: Had dinner with Bruce Willis last night. I want him in EXPENDABLES II as a super villain. What do you think?

@TheSlyStallone You need to bring back [Steve Austin] @steveaustinBSR … Raise “his evil brother” from the dead !! 🙂

TheSlyStallone: @LieslSchoonraad that is exactly what bruce suggested …damn do I have to battle that monster again!!!!!!!????

TheSlyStallone: I am thinking what would be the most dangerous places in the world to set the sequel?

@TheSlyStallone Harry Knowles here – nice to see you on Twitter. I’m thinking Afgan, Iran or Milan.

Other suggestions that were tweeted: Thailand, China, US/Mexican Border, Africa

@TheSlyStallone Was wondering how you feel about a female character AS an Expendable in the sequel.

TheSlyStallone: @claydog86 I do not not know.. what is your opinion?

TheSlyStallone: The hardest part of making action films is attempting to inject heart and soul.. bullets are easy , emotions are hard. LIKE LIFE ITSELF.

We’re still a ways off from The Expendables 2 getting started, but you can already see that Stallone is kicking around ideas, and remains interested in pleasing his fans (and what is The Expendables, if not an attempt at the ultimate batch of fan service?). Even before the tweets I would have guessed a bigger role for Bruce Willis as a strong possibility, along with a distinctive new locale, but we can see Sly’s already got the mental wheels a turnin’. I hope he aims some of that consideration towards a passably logical script this time around.
