Denzel Washington has signed onto Safe House for Universal and director Daniel Espinosa (Snabba Cash), says THR.com. The project was written by David Guggenheim (Medallion). Safe House follows the only surviving agent of an attack on a CIA safe house as he
tries to get a lethal prisoner to a second safe house before being
taken out by violent forces that want them both dead.
Washington recently picked up a Tony for Fences to go with all of his other hardware, which includes two Oscars…and probably a trunkload of undies from admiring female fans. He’s already completed Unstoppable for frequent director, Tony Scott. He also has Steinbeck’s Point of View on the horizon for director Brandon Camp. He was most recently seen splitting fool’s wigs in The Book of Eli.
