Update: Movieline, via NYTimes.com has word that the film will open the New York Film Festival, to which the new teaser is supposed to be exclusive and the reason for which it was pulled, on Sept. 24th.

Edit: Apparently Sony pulled the 2nd trailer.  You can check it out at VentureBeat until it’s gone, which may be soon.

The newest teaser for David Fincher’s latest film, The Social Network, is over at Gizmodo.  Aaron Sorkin scripted the film, which is based on Ben Mezrich’s 2009 book, The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding Of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal.  It features an ensemble cast consisting of Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg, Andrew Garfield as Eduardo Saverin, Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker, Brenda Song as Joanna Simmons, Rashida Jones, Joseph Mazzello as Dustin Moskovitz, Max Minghella as Martin Turner, Rooney Mara as Erica, Denise Grayson as Gretchen, Dakota Johnson as Leslie Brown, Trevor Wright as Josh Thompson, Shelby Young as K.C., John Getz as Sy, Armie Hammer as Cameron Winklevoss, John Cena as Marcel Laverdet,
Douglas Urbanski as Larry Summers, and Josh Pence as Tyler Winklevoss (via Wikipedia),

Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, is having nothing to do with the production and even once stated, “I just wished that nobody made a movie of me while I was still alive.”  Columbia Pictures is distributing the film, which premieres on October 1st.

Thanks to Alwyn for the tip.
