Deadline has details on two of M. Night Shyamalan’s next projects, including his untitled possible next directing gig.  First, Shyamalan’s production shingle, Night Chronicles has hired Chris Sparling (Buried) to pen Twelve Strangers, a thriller that involves a jury deliberating a case involving the supernatural.  Night Chronicles is a production pact with MRC to produce features with up and coming filmmakers based on Shyamalan’s ideas.  The company’s first feature is the upcoming Devil, directed by John Dowdle.

Second, plot details have reportedly emerged on the super secret project that Shyamalan has been shopping around Hollywood with scripts that he will let execs read, but not keep.  We reported on this a few days ago, with news that Bruce Willis, Bradley Cooper and Gwyneth Paltrow were already loosely attached.  Details from Deadline are that Bradley Cooper would play a father on a desperate search for his missing child.  It might stray into Taken terrain, but the father taps into some supernatural powers to aid the search.

Shyamalan is currently promoting The Last Airbender for its July 1st premiere.
