In a project that sounds a bit like Quiksilver meets 16 Blocks, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is looking set to receive a couple of co-stars in the forms of Michael Shannon and Jamie Chung for Premium Rush, says THR.com.  The pic centers on a New York bike messenger (Gordon-Levitt) who
picks up an envelope at Columbia University, only to be chased
throughout the city by a dirty cop desperate to get his hands on
it.  Shannon plays the deceptively affable cop with a violent temper.
Chung would play Gordon-Levitt’s ex, a fellow daredevil bike
messenger who helps him outwit the cop.
David Koepp is directing his and John Kamps’ (Ghost Town) script for Columbia; Gavin Polone (Zombieland) is producing.

Gordon-Levitt is due to be seen next in Inception, and has an untitled Seth Rogen project upcoming.  His last big project was last year’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.   Meanwhile, Shannon, who is currently appearing in Jonah Hex, has The Iceman and Machine Gun Preacher upcoming.  Chung is currentrly appearing in Grown Ups and will be appearing in Zach Snyder’s Sucker Punch.
