Perusing an article over at Syfy, via The Escapist and ShowBizSpy pretty much elicited that reaction in me. I don’t try to be a hater, I really don’t, but come on. Lara Croft? Yes it’s merely the latest reality star thinking that Hollywood is going to be laid out for them simply because they’re a name. She might want to have a talk with Paris about that at Nobu, Skybar or wherever they’ll meet up with other vacuous celebutantes this week (although Paris did do a pretty good Paris Hilton ion Supernatural last season)..
A notable quotable from the ShowBizSpy piece from somebody supposedly “in the know”: “This will be something very different to Angelina’s Lara,” a source said. “Kim is wanted to play a far more comic-strip version of Lara which would be shot in 3-D and aimed at a teen audience.” And from the almost-never-Mrs. Reggie Bush: “I would love to do more acting,” she said in December last year. “I
have so much going on but acting is definitely exciting to me. I’m
hoping to do more TV and I would really love to make movies.” Finally, from the Escapist article: Sources have also divulged that Kardashian has
been taking acting lessons for quite some time now. She wants to make
her big screen debut by putting these skills to good use filling the
shoes of Lara Croft.
Although, there would be a couple of big benefits to the film if it were in 3D. Tee hee hee. Okay, sorry, I’m done.
