I really dug Undisputed III: Redemption. I first caught the film at Action Fest last month, and I saw it again a couple of weeks ago at a private screening with the director; it’s a well made, well shot, no-nonsense fight film that doesn’t use editing or shaky cam to hide the action. It’s great fighters having great fights.
The star is Scott Adkins, who was the bad guy in Undisputed II (thus the redemption part); he’s up against Marko Zaror as the personality-filled baddie. Zaror is a South American martial artist just waiting for his big breakout; I’d love to see him get cast as a bad guy in a James Bond movie – he would have the suaveness to steal Bond’s girl and the moves to kick Bond’s ass. The ultimate 007 villain.
Twitch got a clip from the opening of the film’s final fight scene, where Zaror and Adkins face off in a life or death prison match. This is just the tip of the iceberg of this incredible fight.
Undisputed III: Redemption hits DVD and Blu-Ray on June 1st. Click here to buy it from CHUD.
