ShockTillYouDrop has brought on the somewhat surprising news that the sequel to the 2009 remake of Friday the 13th is kaput: Today, Brad Fuller replied to a fan via his Twitter account that the second outing with Jason Voorhees is “dead.” Not too much more to the story at this point, although this is unexpected considering the remake did $100 million worldwide last year. The originals were sometimes doing bus fare worldwide and still spawning continuations.
Considering that by reliable account, the film was actually well made, kind of makes you wonder what the world is coming to when a good Jason Voorhees film can’t get a sequel.
