Yesterday
Capcom announced Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two
Worlds
, or as it will forever
be known among its geek fanbase, Marvel vs
Capcom FTW
.

Check out the teaser trailer below. Ah, brings me back to high school-
cutting classes to hang out in the nearby pizzeria which had arcade
cabinet of the original MvC (and Time Crisis!), cheesing people with Wolverine
and the Hulk.

The
game’s using an advanced version
of the Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2 MT Framework engine, so it’s
going
to look glorious. It will contain the same 3 on 3 tag team matches

from the first two games and presumably a huge roster of old and new
characters.
Capcom has said that there will be at least 30 characters in the game,
and that they’re working hard to squeeze as many more in by release as
possible. No doubt there will be a Super Marvel
Vs. Capcom 3 Championship Edition
that
hits with another dozen characters a year after release.

Marvel Vs.
Capcom 3
will
hit Spring 2011.
