Twilight starlet Ashley Greene has just signed onto the upcoming Jennifer Garner vehicle, Butter, says THR.com. Garner will be starring in and producing the film, which is based on the Black List screenplay by newcomer Jason Micallef. The comedy follows a number of competitive characters in a small Midwestern town
as they become entwined in an annual butter-carving contest. Greene
will play a rebellious high school teenager named Kaitlen Pickler. Jim Field Smith (She’s Out of My League is directing and filming begins next week in Louisiana.
Greene got her big break in the Stephenie Meyer saga (I use that term loosely), portraying Alice Cullen, Edward’s adopted sister. She’ll also be seen in Dark Castle’s upcoming The Apparition and Michael F. Sears’ Warrior with fellow Twilight-er, Kellan Lutz. She also has her ticket punched for that franchise all the way through Breaking Dawn.
I wasn’t overly familiar with the young lady before doing this story. However, upon seeing a couple of pics of her online, I believe I’d order up a plate of her dripping margarine no problem.
