Last night EA had the first teaser trailer for Crysis 2 premiere in the unlikeliest of locations- Times Square. Projected onto one of the massive video screens in the single most-hated area of the city for locals, the trailer shows off the new setting for the series- an abandoned, post alien-invasion NYC. There’s quite a bit of 9/11 imagery here, and if this is in-game footage- hoo boy. The next game’s going to be a blast, even if NYC is one of the most overdone locations in videogames.

Course, there is no audio on this video from 1UP, since it was supplied by calling a number. There’s a countdown clock on Crysis 2‘s official site so we can expect it to hit the net soon- we’ll let you know when it’s up.

Crysis 2 is set to hit PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 later this year.
