Evans has accepted the role of Captain America in The First Avenger: Captain America and
The
Avengers.
It was looking dicey for a minute or two, and I feared a future where
Mike Vogel was going to be the Star Spangled Avenger, but it all worked
out.
Evans
is a great choice, even if he’s not quite the unknown that director Joe
Johnston said he was looking for. He has the looks, the chops and the
charisma required to play America’s greatest soldier. And I hope that
this is the role that catapults him into the kind of stardom he
deserves.
Now
let’s see if Marvel can get their script issues under control and make a
totally kick-ass Captain America movie.
