After catching umpteen million cameos, guest starring and recurring gigs by the former cast of Battlestar Galactica, it had seemed that that’s all they were interested in booking.   Except for Helo (Tahmoh Penikett, formerly of Dollhouse), few if any of them appeared to be landing that big post-BSG headlining role in a TV show.  I’ve seen Tricia Helfer in more one-off guest roles than I can count alone.  But it looks like Starbuck might be set to break that trend, as Katee Sackhoff, who disappeared from 150,000 B.C. Earth to land in a CTU cubicle, is now in talks to topline a Richard Hatem crime drama pilot.

The as-yet-untitled show centers on on a beautiful female detective (Sackhoff)
who teams with a disgraced ex-cop to solve crimes and untangle the
conspiracy that sent him underground.
Sackhoff had reportedly fielded several offers before landing on this one.  She also headed up the Lost & Found pilot for NBC last year as well.  Her 24 character, Dana Walsh’s, ultimate fate is also said to not impede her jumping to another series should this go forward and 24 be renewed for a ninth season.

Personally, I was kind of hoping for a Sarah Corvus spinoff, but oh well.
