My biggest regret from the end of last year is not getting my Red Riding Trilogy reviews done while the films were fresh in my mind. I opted to review each film in the trilogy separately, even though they’re all playing together, and I only got through the first review, 1974. The good news is that this will give me an excuse to go back and revisit 1980 and 1983, the final pieces of the ambitious James Ellroy-in-North-Britain series of noir crime movies.

You can read my initial review here. I don’t know if these will be going theatrical – it’s a cool experience sitting through all three in a theater, very much a test of your endurance, but in a good way – or straight to video on demand (probably a little of both, knowing IFC).
