Mutant Vampire Zombies From The ‘Hood (review) has taken a long road through festivals over the last couple of years, but it’s finally coming to dvd!
Director Thunder Levin just announced on his Facebook page that Seminal Films will be releasing it on May 18th. No specs or dvd art are available just yet but we’ll let you know when they are.
The movie stars the great C. Thomas Howell as a cop who gets trapped alongside two rival gangs in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Well they’re not just zombies, they’re zombie vampires… and there are some even worse strains of the undead to deal with as well. The remaining humans all band together to fight off this bigger threat.
I’m really happy that it’s coming out. We’re all burnt out by zombie films by this time, but this one’s definitely worth a look. It’s a really entertaining, campy film that’s perfect to watch with a
group of friends, preferably with lots of alcohol and greasy food on
hand.
