Good news for fans of Sam and Max– it appears that Telltale will be returning to the series next year! An anonymous tipster directed us towards this site which features a teaser image for “Freelance Police Special Forces” with our favorite duo as constellations, along with a sign-up for a mailing list that will net you a free Sam and Max “Holiday Game” (Ice Station Santa?)
There’s also a cryptic message that sounds like someone reciting Lovecraft after getting hit in the head with a shovel.
Whatever it is, it’s great to see the two return. The first two seasons (review) were some of the finest adventure games in years and while Tales of Monkey Island is almost as good, the bizarre humor of Sam and Max can’t be beat.
