District B-13 was quite a fun film. Devin loved the original (review) when it hit our shores three years ago, and now the sequel District 13: Ultimatum (why the District dropped the “B” is anyone’s guess) is on its way. Magnet is releasing it as part of their second Six Shooter Films lineup and it will be available on VOD January 1st, with a limited theatrical run starting on February 5th. The first film started off with an amazing parkour chase sequence that was easily the best part of the whole thing (which I don’t think was nearly as effective as Dev made it out to be), so hopefully they can focus more on the action set-pieces this time.
