IO Interactive announced today that Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is going to hit next year for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The sequel is set in the Shanghai underworld (you never really see the “overworld” of Shanghai in videogames, do you?) and they’re claiming it will be an even more intense experience. “Gamers are always looking for something new and that is exactly what they are going to get with Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days,” said Niels Jørgensen, general manager of IO Interactive. “A special thanks to gamers worldwide for their feedback. They are certainly in for a shock as we, with immense pride, welcome back our two dear, violent and somewhat unfortunate friends.”

They’ve also released these two short videos demonstrating the most realistic look they’re going for- security camera footage of the duo getting into trouble. Make sure to check out the latter- dog days indeed!
