In what’s sure to be the weirdest news of the day, Justin Timberlake, Anna Faris and Dan Aykroyd are in negotiations to star in a live-action/CGI adaptation of Yogi Bear.
In the answer to all of our hopes and prayers, Aykroyd would be voicing the bear. Faris will play the (weirdly attractive) nature documentarian who’s trying to figure out what the hell this bear’s doing with all those picnic baskets in Jellystone Park, and Timberlake? Yeah, he could be voicing Boo Boo.
No, really.
The current script is from Wild Hogs genius Brad Copeland from a draft from Joshua Sternin and Jeff Ventimilial. Eric Brevig (Journey to the Center of the Earth) will be directing it down in New Zealand if all goes right (wrong?)
I’m pretty much stuck for jokes now, and more curious about how a CGI Yogi Bear would look. Would they try to make him look more realistic? Hate to be the guy who has to figure that out.
