Paul Greengrass’ Green Zone is right at that sweet spot between his political films like Bloody Sunday and United 93 and his Bourne action films. Set in the early days of the Iraq War, during the fruitless hunt for WMDs, Green Zone stars Matt Damon as a loyal soldier who finds himself up to his neck in conspiracy and lies.
The trailer sells the action part of it, but I hear there’s a whole lot more than action going on in this film. Although when the action happens, it rules. Undersold in the trailer: Jason Isaacs, who is a CHUD list-worthy badass, I’ve been told.
