Land of the Lost was one of the biggest bombs of the summer. When you see Jorma Taccone dry-humping people and the varied drug references, you find this odd beast. A film that wants to play for popcorn munching kids, yet give Danny McBride and Jorma Taccone some edge. Then, there’s Will Ferrell. He stomps through the picture like some lost fool in a desperate search for a meaningful paycheck.

The Proposal
is a film for all the fat single ladies at the Lane Bryant hoping that Ryan Reynolds might saunter into their lives. It’s for the mawing wenches of the Wal-Mart who want to tell you about how much they love that Sandy Bullock. The film will be the perfect test model for the movie bean counters who want to teach the world about counter-programming. More importantly, it gave Betty White a chance to remind the world that she wasn’t dead.
