Did you know that Lorne Michaels had nothing to do with the best Saturday Night Live-related movie, The Blue Brothers? However he did produce A Night at the Roxbury, Superstar and The Ladies’ Man!
I only bring this up due to my deep, deep trepidation about Michaels getting back into the ‘Movie Based on a Skit’ game with MacGruber. “What is this? This is fucking ugly. You guys are really going to do
this?” And they’re like, “Yup.” And I was like, “That is awesome. That
is fucking hilarious.”
I really like Bill, and I really trust his opinion on what’s funny, so him saying this goes a long way towards assuaging my fears.
