So the good news is that they’re not remaking Heathers. The bad news is that they’re turning it into a TV series. Yes, They are at it again.
To be honest I’m not going to get up in arms about this for the simple reason that a TV series based on the movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer seemed like a truly awful idea at the time. I don’t know what the actual concept for the Heathers TV show will be except that the characters from the movie – Veronica Sawyer, JD and the Heathers – will be in it. The show obviously can’t just be JD and Veronica killing students every week, so there has to be something else planned for it, unless it’s just going to be a bitchier, darker version of 90210. Which is possible as well.
A dude by the name of Mark Rizzo is writing the pilot, with the help of Sex & The City writer Jenny Bicks. They’re still working on how to make the thing work in the first place.
